This is a solution for the following errors:
"Street address or postal code do not match" or "We could NOT process your credit card for the following reason: The transaction has been declined because of an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match billing address of cardholder. Code: 27  Please review the credit card details and try again or contact the bank processor.

Address Verification Service (AVS) is a service used in the United States to verify a credit or debit card holder's billing address. This service provides fraud prevention for transactions that are completed without a credit card being physically presented. LightSpeed uses AVS verification as an added level of fraud prevention.

AVS is used to confirm that the billing address you entered matches the address on file with your credit card company - usually the address where you receive your monthly statement.

If you believe you entered the address properly but still getting the AVS error, please contact your card company directly to discuss the transaction. They can insure the address is formatted properly and matches what you are entering.

Sometimes this error pops up on the second or third renewal invoice. This is usually the result of moving to a new address. The AVS may match at the time of your first invoice, but since that time your address change completed with the card company. Simply re-enter your card with the new billing address to resolve this issue. Again, if you have troubles with the address, please call your card company for assistance.

AVS is unreliable for credit card holders outside of the United States. International credit cards are usually rejected because of this.
